Grading System

Indian River uses a numerical grading system which ranges from 0-100; 65 is the minimum grade required to pass.  Final grades are computed using 80% yearly average and 20% final exam grade.  When students transfer in with letter grades, the scale below is used to change their letter grade to a numerical equivalent for IR records, if they do not provide a grading scale from their prvious school.  Schools or programs which need to convert IR numerical grades to letter equivalent should use this scale.
