Academic Eligibility for Extracurricular Activities (Grades 9-12)
In order for students to be eligible to participate in any extracurricular activity they must meet the following criteria:
- Students must have an overall average of at least 65% for the previous ten-week marking period.
- Students must not be failing more than one subject at the end of the ten-week marking period.
- Grades 9-12 only: Students must not exceed the existing attendance policy of 13 absences per semester. If student absences exceed 13 per semester in (more than one class) and these are not made up in the prescribed time, the student will be ineligible to participate in the next ten-week marking period.
If a student fails to meet these criteria, the student is ineligible to participate in any extracurricular activity for the next ten-week marking period.
Final course grades of the present year will be used to determine the eligibility of the students for the first ten weeks of the next year.
