The Indian River Intermediate School is our newest facility and home to our fourth and fifth grades.  It opened in September 2002 and finished the District’s initial growth in response to the growth of Fort Drum.  The recent expansion of Fort Drum created immediate needs for more space.  This geo-thermally heated and cooled, award winning facility was designed for expansion and the plan reflects this.  The project will add 14 classrooms, and will modify support spaces to accommodate the increased student population.  The project is expected to be completed for the  2010-11 school year.
