    The Board of Education wishes to thank the voters who came out on March 30 for the special vote on capital project funding. The proposition passed with 237 Yes votes and 29 No votes. Thanks to all who took the time to express their opinion by casting a ballot.

  • Tutor.com Access for Military-Affiliated Schools and Families

    Tutor.com is a free, anonymous service for U.S. military students providing one-to-one tutoring and test preparation in 40 subject and test areas. Registration is required, but the service is free to all eligible college and grade K-12 students in U.S. military families.

  • District's Technology Plan Approved

    The New York State Education Department recently approved Indian River Central School District's Technology Plan. Districts across New York State had to submit and have their technology plans approved in order to proceed to file a plan and access funds to improve educational technology and infrastructure under the Smart Schools Bond Act.

  • Marcy Lannis and Jeff Wekar win 2015 NYSCATE Grant

    We are proud to announce that IRCSD Computer teacher Marcy Fountain and Instructional Technology Specialist Jeff Wekar have been awarded a 2015 NYSCATE grant for their proposal "Take a Bite Out of Pi: Using Raspberry Pi Kits to Teach Students Computer Coding."

  • District Receives 2015 DoDEA Grant

    The District is pleased to announce that we have received a 2015 Department of Defense Education Activity Grant in the amount of $750,000 over a five year period. The purpose of the grant is twofold: to improve special education students’ achievement in English Language Arts and to expand academic and social-behavioral outcomes for students in grades K-3.
