Visit your Team's Homework Website

Look at your team/teacher’s homepage on the school website. Assignments, tests, quizzes and projects are posted here in addition to during class in case you forget. Some Teams maintain an actual homework calender on their team page, while others post assignments individually either on their team page or on their individual websites under the homework tab. Remember, it is still the student's responsibility to keep track of their assignments and due dates; the teachers websites should be used only as a secondary method of tracking homework assignments and for parents to cross-check if there is in fact, homework tonight, due to the fact that periodically, assignments may change. Feel free to visit the links below to familiarize yourself with your team/teacher's homework:

Use your Planners/Agendas!

All Middle School students are issued an academic planner or agenda at the start of school. Students are expected to write all homework assignments, upcoming tests, quizzes and projects in their planners. As soon as your teacher tells you what your homework is and/or any upcoming tests/quizzes/projects, write it in your planner along with the date that it's due. Parents are encouraged to regularly check their student's planners to ensure that homework is being completed on a regular basis. These planners also serve as a home-school method of communication and parents and/or teachers can write messages to each other in the comments section. If a student has misplaced his or her planner, additional planners are available for purchase in the Student Services office for $3.

Use a Homework Folder

Students are also encouraged to use a bright colored, heavy duty folder that is to be used solely for homework assignments. On the left side of the folder, students should write "To Do" and on the right side of the folder, students should write "Done/Turn in". As you get homework hand outs from your teachers, place these in your homework folder on the left in the "To Do" side. When you get home, check your planner, take out your assignments, complete them and place them in the right side of your homework folder in the "Done/Turn in" side. Extra homework folders are now available in the Guidance Office!
