Welcome to the Indian River Instructional Technology Services Page.  The ITS Department is committed to the successful integration of technology into all phases of the educational process to enhance teaching and empower learning.

The Indian River Central School District will soon implement Google Apps for Education, a powerful suite of productivity tools that will allow our teachers, students, and staff to create, edit, and share content like never before.  For an introduction to Google Apps for Education, please view the video below:

It's time we take a broad look at the state of education in America today. What are our graduation rates? How are our standardized test scores? How well paid are our teachers? Let's take the pulse of our country's education system -- all the way from its kindergartens to its universities. Comparing and contrasting with statistics from other countries, we can see where we fit in on the international scene...and we can begin to think about how to repair education in America.  After watching the video join the discussion on our message board.

Educators across the world are struggling with how to engage our students.  We now know children today are wired differently and therefore learn differently. This video was produced by the New Brunswick Department of Education to stimulate discussion among educators and other stakeholders in public education. The 21st Century presents unique challenges for education worldwide. In order to keep pace with global change we must focus on 21st Century Skills and public education must adapt to keep students engaged. Rigor and relevance are key,  After watching this video please share your thoughts on our message board more specifically on how we can leverage the use of technology to engage our students in their own learning.
