PLEASE NOTE: If you are interested in substitute teaching, you must have your fingerprints completed. This is a State Law; you must be cleared through the New York State Education Department before you can be considered for appointment and work in an educational setting. Additional information about the fingerprinting procedures can be accessed here.

Substitute Pre-Application Form: Please fill out this form if you would like to be considered as an instructional substitute. You need to have at least 60 credits from an accredited college or university to be eligible to substitute for a teacher.

All Support Staff Substitutes will need to print off and fill out the Jefferson County Civil Service Application For Examination / Employment form and bring it to the Substitute interview.

Substitute Electronic Access Application: Fill out this form after you have been approved as a substitute by the Board of Education. This will allow you access to our computer system while you are substituting for us.
