The Board invites comments for Public Forum.
The Board welcomes civil, respectful statements and clear, concise communications that may inform its deliberations. The Board uses public comment as an opportunity to listen to citizen concerns and will not debate issues nor enter into a questions and answer session.
As per Board Policy 1230, please remember to keep comments to no longer than 5 minutes, and the total public comment period will not exceed 30 minutes. Public comment is not a time to discuss matters involving privacy issues that are protected by law like issues related to specific students, specific personnel, or contract issues. On these matters, we ask you to go through the appropriate administrative or supervisory channels.
As a courtesy, we ask you to share your name and any organization you may represent before you make your comment. Speakers who have pre-registered with our District Clerk will be recognized by the Board President. In some cases, a member of the board or administration may follow up with speakers at a later date.
In lieu of speaking during the public comment period, written comments can be submitted to the District Clerk at firstname.lastname@example.org. These will be shared with the Board of Education.
