To the Indian River Community:
The Indian River Central School District and the Board of Education extend our deepest gratitude to a community that continuously stands behind our students, our staff, and one another. A strong school district is the bedrock of a thriving community, and that is especially true throughout our villages, towns, on Fort Drum, and throughout this great school district that we call “Indian River Central”. Your enduring partnership ensures that our classrooms and facilities remain modern, supportive environments where students are prepared to meet the future with confidence.
IRCSD's mission is to provide an equitable and inclusive education where all students are empowered to realize and achieve their full potential. This year’s budget was designed to directly advance that promise, transforming our shared vision into tangible opportunities for every child. No matter the challenges we face, our collective commitment ensures that IRCSD continues to deliver an exceptional academic and extracurricular experience. We are incredibly proud of our schools, our students, our dedicated employees, and the community that stands beside them. Proposition #1 - BUDGET PROPOSITION
Shall the District approve a budget appropriation of $110,280,000 for school year 2026-2027?

Proposition #2 – LOCAL LIBRARY PROPOSITION
Resolved, that pursuant to Education Law, Section 259, the Board of Education of the Indian River School District is authorized to levy and collect an annual tax, year after year, separate and apart from the annual school district budget, the additional amount of $31,000 (above the current amount of $195,000 for a new total of $226,000), which shall be paid to the Bodman Memorial Library (an additional $5,000 for a new total of $60,000), the Evans Mills Public Library (an additional $20,000 for a new total of $70,000), and the Theresa Public Library (an additional $6,000 for a new total of $41,000) for the support and maintenance of the libraries; with this appropriated amount to be the annual appropriation until thereafter modified by a future vote of the electors of the Indian River School District.

Vote for one candidate to fill one Board of Education seat. The candidate receiving the highest number of votes will be placed in a five year term (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2031).

Tianna Seaman

Biographical Statement
Tianna Seaman is a dedicated community advocate and professional with a deep-rooted commitment to the Indian River Central School District. Originally born and raised in Brandon, Florida, Tianna has been married to her husband, Trevor Seaman, for 18 years. Trevor is currently Active Duty in the US Army and serves as an Army Aviator (Blackhawk Pilot). Together, they are the proud parents of two sons: Garrett, a high school senior, who is a member of the National Honor Society (NHS), IR Varsity Soccer team, and IR Varsity Baseball team and Emerson, an 8th grader, who is a student athlete participating in the Syracuse Rush Soccer program, IR modified soccer team, and IR Modified Baseball team.
Tianna brings a robust educational and professional background to the Board. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences from Florida State University and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Leo University. For the past 12 years, she has served as an acquisition professional supporting the Department of War (DoW), where she has been responsible for overseeing more than $2.8 billion in Government contracts during this timeframe. In a notable career achievement, she has worked for every department within the DoW, including the United States Space Force.
Beyond her professional achievements, Tianna has a long history of serving the military and local communities. While stationed at JBLM from 2008 to 2014, she served as both a member and leader of the Family Readiness Group (FRG), providing vital support to military families. Her commitment to youth development is further evidenced by her time on the Board of Directors for the Niceville Football Little League from 2015 to 2018. Currently, Tianna continues her service as a member of the Fort Drum Guthrie Patient and Family Partnership Council, a role she has held since 2025.
With her unique blend of financial oversight experience, leadership, and a firsthand investment in the success of Indian River students, Tianna is eager to contribute her expertise to the School Board to ensure a bright future for all students in the district.
