Welcome to IRCSD!
Vision
We will stand out as an exceptional learning institution by igniting opportunities for our students.
Mission
We will educate and inspire all students to be impactful citizens who contribute to the world around them.
Core Values
We will make all decisions based on professionalism, respect, integrity, diversity, and excellence.
Protocols
We will educate and empower our students by supporting learning opportunities led by exceptional staff.
We Need Your Help!
Federal Impact Aid (federal funding) makes up over 20% of Indian River's anticipated funding for this year and is critical to our ability to provide the quality education we have come to expect. This funding is used to provide services to all Indian River students, not just military students. Please take the time to complete the Federal Impact Aid Survey in ParentSquare in a timely manner. This is always important, but in a year when funding is potentially declining, it becomes even more important. Please help us ensure we receive the support needed to maintain our incredible educational opportunities for students!

The New York State School Boards Association recognizes October 13-17, 2025 as School Board Recognition Week. This is a time to promote awareness and understanding of the important work performed by local school boards. The Indian River Central School District invites our community to join us in acknowledging the ongoing contributions of our Board of Education members by thanking them for their tireless support of the District. Public schools form the bedrock of our communities and our country. Democracy thrives with educated citizens capable of critical thinking and civil discourse, and it is our local school boards who are ultimately responsible for student success.
It takes strong schools to build a strong community, and our school board members devote countless hours to ensuring that all of our schools are assisting every child to learn at a higher level. They make the tough decisions every month and spend many hours studying education issues and regulations in order to provide the kind of accountability our community stakeholders expect. Our school board members provide the Indian River community with a voice in educational decision-making.
The key work of school boards is to raise student achievement by:- Developing a shared vision and goals for the district
- Ensuring strategies, resources, policies and programs align with district goals
- Assessing and providing accountability for student achievement
- Supporting a healthy school district culture in which to work and learn
- Evaluating the superintendent to ensure continuous improvement
- And much more!
